Terzigno is a nice place to stay if you want to visit Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius (we also went to Napoli by train). The Palazzo is situated in the city center right across the church. We went there in the winter time and found the Palazzo as a a hotel garni kind of place (maybe it's different in the summer time). We were welcomed by a very friendly member of the staff (who only knew Italian. So have your Google translate ready or learn a few words in advance 😉). As it gets really cold here in the winter and the hotel doesn't have a proper heating, we were quite cold (eventually we figured out that the AC works as a heating system too). The breakfast was the usual Italian self serve kind of thing. For us it was absolutely sufficient. The room itself was very big and recently renovated. Very cosy bed.

Beautiful modern penthouse with a giant terrace and perfect view at the Volcano. Whatever you want to do - hiking on Vesuvius, visit Pompeii, Ercolano, Napoli, the Amalfi Coast or Salerno - can be reached perfectly from Terzigno. I could also cook dinner in the kitchen and wash our clothes. We enjoyed our trip in a perfect environment. Thank you very much.

The private parking is secured and it is the great thing, giving that neighborhood didn't look quite safe. Host was very hospitable, always answered all our questions and gave some recommendations we asked for.

I had a fantastic stay at Palazzo Caracciolo del Sole, especially in the penthouse apartment. The view and facilities were outstanding. However, there was a minor issue with the coffee machine, which remained broken throughout our five-day stay. It was a bit puzzling that it took so long to fix.

Superbly renovated building with very modern and comfortable rooms (we stayed in Positano room). Luigi (the host) is very kind and helpful The tranquil area is right beneath the Vesuvius, in a small typically Italian town. Private parking Tasty (although exclusively sweet) breakfast.
